At Roosevelt Park Zoo, a cage is empty and the gate at the main entrance is locked.
The Zoo has been missing since June, safely evacuated ahead of the Souris River floods that area Minot devastaded and Zoo.
Brandi Clark's words, animal technicians for the Zoo, they spread from California to New Jersey and everywhere in between. There are 20 institutions where the animals are present. There is also a list of ongoing Clark of animal records and sometimes very soon there will be an interactive map of the Zoo's website where You will be able to click on the animals and see where the building.
It is unknown when the animal goes back to the Zoo, though. Zoo staff are waiting to hear from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and they need to know what will happen with the city's proposed flood protection plan.
"Spring will be totally optimistic to get our animals back, Clark said. "We have so many buildings that need to be repaired and most of the buildings we are disarmed."
